Oliver Lenthall

Oliver began life as a young boy in the small town of Chard, Somerset. After getting rejected from Oxford he went on to study Chemistry at the University of Bristol, completing his undergraduate integrated master’s degree in 2023. Within the Aggarwal group he researched the formation of ketyl radicals via photoredox catalysis, synthesising unsaturated alcohols. His “love” and “enthusiasm” for both Bristol and science meant that all he wanted to do was go on to study some more, accepting a PhD position within the Davis group. His research now concerns the synthesis of macrocyclic receptors for non-all-equatorial carbohydrates.
