Nick obtained his chemistry MSci degree at the University of Bristol. He spent an exciting year in Blackpool at Victrex plc as part of his year in industry placement, where he investigated the development of novel polymerisation routes.

His passion for Chemistry and Bristol led him to join Anthony Davis’s lab to complete his PhD, graduating in 2023. Within this group his research consisted of designing and synthesising macrocyclic systems with the aim of selective recognition of monosaccharides in water. This enthralled him enough to continue his research within the Davis group as a postdoctoral researcher.

Outside of he research, he enjoys darts, snooker, pub quizzes and is a keen badminton player.
