Chris graduated from the University of York with an MChem in 2013. His final year was spent carrying out an industrial placement at Eisai, Hertfordshire and involved the design, synthesis and characterisation of small organic molecules for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. His PhD project is based on the development of anion transporters for the treatment of ion channel disorders, supervised by Prof. Anthony Davis, Dr. David Sheppard and Prof. Philip Gale (Southampton).
